The Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination – North Macedonia is an independent entity that started functioning in January 2021. The Commission covers 19 defined basis for discrimination race, skin color, origin, nationality or ethnicity, gender, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, belonging to a marginalized group, language, citizenship, social origin,
education, religion or belief, political belief, other belief, disability, age, marital or marital status, property status, health status,personal status and social status or any other grounds (hereinafter:
discriminatory grounds).
